Poem Title |
To Mend a Broken Heart |
It is just flesh, muscle and blood, place your ear close by to hear the thud. Place your hand on the chest, feel the tempo that will never rest.
Not something you would think could break, many a soul have made that mistake. Look inside through the tearful eye and behold, fissures deep and painful cracks untold.
No doctor need apply his medical skill, for it will be broken still. Apply the balm of tenderness, from one who love does possess.
Brotherly affection applied in the day, hastens to dissolve the pain away. Tender affections of compassion by night, in due time restores a soul so bright.
