Poem Title

Loneliness is the Greatest Poverty

Back

Clothes I have, but I feel naked.

Food I have, but I’m hungry.

Shelter covers me, but I am exposed.

Possessions I have, but I am poor.

Your tender compassion could clothe my nakedness.

Your loving words could feed me.

Your warm hands could cover my weeping heart.

Make me rich, and I will in turn enrich you.

Give meaning to my life, and I give my life to you.

Love me and I will forever love you.
