Poem Title

Monkey Talk

Back

You are a source of joy to me,

Obsessed is my heart with thee,

Unwavering in the course I take,

    A rest not I, nor a break.

Resilient in the search for clues,

      Endearing friendship not to loose.

Beholding your face is for what I groan,

Entreaties to the one like Jasper stone.

Attached is my soul to you,

          Unabashed your thoughts are true.

The little monkeys you keep so dear,

If only now that they could hear.

For they would tell me many a thing,

Uncloaked and bare your feelings they bring.

Look inside your heart so fair,

Is there room for me in there?
